I know many people love Blake's, so I'm a bit surprised at this rating. Perhaps it will increase in the future. Minuses to this score: No options to dine in, everybody eats out of a bag whether you want to or not. There's a salad under my thin little 4 oz patty, with so many pickles I can hardly taste anything else. Pluses for the spicy chile, hot fries and hot burger, even though it's fast food.

I've noticed that there is a significant amount of variability in the quality of the Blakes burgers from restaurant to restaurant. The quality can even depend on who is working the grill. Some will cook the burger to juicy perfection, while others will overcook it, repeatedly smashing all the moisture out of the burger with the back of their spatula leaving it a blackend dry piece of dead cow resembling road-kill. My least favorite Blakes is on Osuna and Eubank. My favorites are at Moon and Montgomery and also at San Antonio and San Pedro. They seem to be the most consistent of the ones I have tried (which certainly isn't nearly all of them in Albuquerque.
By the way, I know the folks in Roswell have been begging for their own Blake's Lotaburger for years. Any entreprenuers looking for an opportunity in great hamburgers should go fo it!
Cheers!
